Go for the sunset, It extends 1080 feet into the Gulf of Mexico. Locals sell their goods here and you can watch street performers. It is also open for fishing, and as a plus you do not need a license for it! What you catch is yours.

It also has a park, a playground and pavilion for the families with kids and an outdoor cinema, under the stars, with family-friendly movies.

- Clearwater Marine Aquarium

Children under 2 are free to enter. This is an indoor and outdoor experience, you can spend about 2-3 hours here, get familiar with the rescued and resident animals.



- Clearwater Ferry

traffic-free ride to the beach, best transportation option to Clearwater beach. It stops in Downtown, near Pier 60, North Beach & Island Estates. The latter are on demand stops, need to be booked in advance.


- Sand Key Park

Visit the south end of the beach, it is a public park, open only during the day. Endangered sea turtles frequently lay eggs on this beach.

Sand Key beach offers wheelchairs for disabled visitors, which are to use on the sand and float in the water, free of charge.


- Spectrum Field

This is a baseball stadium, built in 2004. It is the home to the Philadelphia Phillies and the Clearwater Threshers.


- Party

At night you can enjoy live music with dancing. Top party places from hot nightclubs to cool lounges are Tropix Island Tiki bar, Canopy Rooftop Lounge, Shephard's Beach Bar, 360 Rooftop bar at the Hotel Zamora.

2. Siesta beach, Sarasota

It is a must see island paradise, with brilliant quartz sand, turquoise waters and many beachside amenities. It is a great destinations for families, couples and also for sport lovers or going fishing.


The most popular time to go fishing here are the spring months, when the temperature warms up.


You can take a Zumba class in the sand, bike tour or aqua adventure, watch the Siesta Key Drum Circle.

When you are at Siesta beach, also go explore the nearby Sarasota.


Do some shopping on the Main street, take your family to the Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium.

Also there are many things to do for free, fly a kite at one of the beaches, visit the Bayfont Park, rent a canoe, visit the Ringling Art Museum - free on Mondays. Go to the Celery Fields, for birdwatching on a 400+ acre site, ideal location for wildlife watching. Wintertime offers very good birding, hosting sparrows, Marsh and Sedge Wrens and several species of rails.

3. Panama City Beach

Is a resort town in Bay County, Florida. This beach is for fishermen and scuba divers.

The 27 mile long beach offers a wide variety of activities to enjoy, like swimming, jet skiing, snorkeling, dolphin watch.

Shell Island

A rarity in Florida - an uninhabited barrier island fairly large in size that can only be reached by boat. This is near Spanish Shanty Pt. on the bay side of Shell Island. Rent a pontoon boat to get here. The dark water in the foreground is where seagrass is growing on the bottom.







4. Playalinda, Nude sunbathing beach


Brevard County has an ordinance that prohibits nudity in public places, thus the nudity ordinance is enforceable.

But his is one of the few areas in Florida, where nude sunbathing is alive, the laws are rarely enforced affording the beach a clothing optional status. Look for the parking lot 11 thru 13. If you want to avoid nudity go via parking lost 1 to 10.


Access to the beach may be closed periodically, in preparation for rocket launches from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station or the Kennedy Space Center, make sure to check before you go.


The Canaveral National Seashore near the Kennedy Space Center is part of the National Parks system. The seashore stretches for miles of pristine beach with several areas where wildlife may be viewed. The Merritt Island Wildlife refuge is located nearby.





It has crystal-blue waters, sandy beaches, perfect spot to surf. Or watch a rocket launch.


When here, go visit Titusville, which town is very near to the beach.

Go to the American Space Museum, the Nasa Vehicle Assembly building, Windover Archeological site.



5. Sanibel beach

For those who are looking for quieter area to relax at, located on Sanibel island.

Also called known for its shell beaches, with the one of the richest islands with shells.


This stunning island destination offers many family fun within the great outdoors - cycling, swimming, snorkeling, you name it. here you'll enjoy 15 miles of beach and therefore the piece of being far away from the noise and crowds of a number of larger destinations.

Spend a while chilling out on Bowman's Beach for a few world-class shelling, boardwalk winding through wetlands and fishing pier. Head for the Sanibel Fish House for relaxed and attractive family dining.



Head to the Lighthouse Beach Park, to see its historic lighthouse. It was constructed and first lit in 1884 and it is still operational, as it provides needed service for travelers along Florida's west coast. Currently the United Sates Coast Guard is responsible for maintaining this structure.



It is worth it to go to the Baily-Matthews National Shell Museum, where you can learn more about the sea treasures you would see at the seashore.

Sanibel Island's Rabbit Road West bike path makes its way through conservation lands that allow sighting of varied native species of plants, animals. This bridge ives good overlook to an expanding population of alligators, a recovery from a recent purge due to illegal feeding.
